Bunker firm launched in Cambodia


Company to supply marine fuel to vessels off the coast of Cambodia.



Go4 Bunker Denmark has announced the launch of marine fuels company Go4 Bunker (Cambodia) Co., Ltd.

The official launch of the firm is due to be held on October 10 at the Hotel Cambodiana, Phnom Penh, and will feature Princess Marie of Denmark, Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther and other dignitaries from the Royal Danish Embassy.

In a statement, Go4 Bunker said: "Go4 Bunker Denmark will partner with Cambodian companies to develop not only the Cambodian offshore marine fuel oil business, but also related business in connection with CNPA (Cambodian National Petroleum Authorities) offshore exploration and local service.

"Go4BC will create a new industry for Cambodia in offshore / marine fuel oil supply and will create countless jobs for Cambodians ranging from entry level to senior management positions within the sector. The endeavour brings Danish quality in the offshore and down-stream sector with a goal to transfer of know-how and technology. Go4BC is committed to educating Cambodian managers to meet the upcoming challenges within the newly created Cambodian oil and gas sector. The company will leverage its Danish education, field knowledge, educational programs and trainee exchange programs with the Danish Oil & Gas Sector to assist in Cambodia to be positioned on the world map. The company is also committed to assisting Cambodia prepare for the AESEAN free trade zone 2015."

Commenting on the launch of the business, Tommy Christensen, CEO of Go4 Bunker (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. said: "After 12 years developing the Go4 Concept in the Global Bunker Industry and four years developing in the Gulf of Thailand (Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore), we are pleased to introduce the Go4 Bunker concept in the Cambodia Offshore Economical Zone / Gulf of Thailand. Go4BC will leverage the Danish Go4 Bunker technology and experience to create an internationally known and reputed bunkering facility in Cambodia."

Go4 says its bunkering concept focuses on shortening the bunker supply chain and ensuring the delivery of the quality and quantity of fuel paid for by customers. The company uses proprietary CBI blending and metering systems.

The bunker operation will be located off the coast of Cambodia and near the major shipping routes in order to cater to the needs of vessels entering and leaving the area.

Go4 Bunker said it will announce two corporate social responsibility projects at the official launch this week.
