Cockett: New office and staff appointments


Cockett Marine to open an office in Copenhagen. New general manager and bunker trader named.



Cockett Marine Oil has announced the appointment of Nils Flemming Rasmussen, who is due to officially join the group on 1st January 2012, as general manager of Cockett's new office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In addition to the appointment of Rasmussen, Cockett has announced that Anders Falck Kobbernagel will also be joining the company on 1st January 2012 to work as bunker trader.

Commenting on the appointments, Cockett said: "Together, the two have a wealth of experience within the industry and Cockett Marine Oil Scandinavia Aps will use its extensive market experience to assist its customers in purchasing fuel, achieving the most competitive prices whilst guaranteeing quality of service and product."

Rasmussen joined Maritime Agency Bunker Copenhagen in 1989 as a trainee. Thereafter, he joined World Fuel Services (WFS) Denmark in 1997 where he spent 4 years as a bunker trader. In 2001, he moved to the Eitzen Group, heading up the bunker department and where he has remained for more than 10 years.

Falck previously worked for 3 years at Shell Denmark, where he gained experience as a bunker trader before joining the Eitzen Group in 2006. He is currently working for Eitzen Chemical.

Contact details for the new office are due to be announced in the due course, Cockett said.
