Bunker vessel delivered to Haugland Tankers


New bunker tanker to be used for the transportation of clean and dirty oil products.

Nevsky Shipbuilding Shiprepair Plant, LLC has announced the hand over of the bunker tanker Oslo-Tank to its customer Haugland Tankers AS in accordance with the terms of its shipbuilding contract.

The 850-tonne deadweight vessel was developed by design firm Skipskonsulent AS of Bergen, Norway.

According to Nevsky, the vessel was designed to conform with the requirements of Bureau Veritas for the class BV 1 XHULL, XMACH., Oil Tanker ESP, AUT-UMS, Coastal Area.

The vessel has an overall length of 47.85 metres, a breadth of 10.0 metres, depth of 4.0 metres and draft of 2.85 metres. It has a twin screw propulsion plant, one continuous deck from fore to aft, a double hull throughout the cargo area and a sloped inner bottom in the cargo area. Its cargo tanks have a capacity of 750 cubic metres.

Oslo-Tank will be used for the transportation of clean and dirty oil products with a flash point of over 60 degrees centigrade.

Another vessel Bergen-Tank is currently being built at the Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant for the same customer.

Nevsky Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant is located approximately 40 kilometres from St. Petersburg in the town of Schliesselburg on the left bank of the river Neva. The shipyard builds and repairs sea and river vessels of various types.
