Dan-Bunkering opens Singapore office

Bunker trading firm says Singapore office is now officially open and actively trading.

Danish marine fuels company A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. has announced that its new office in Singapore is now officially open and actively trading, allowing the company to serve clients and offer bunker services in Asia and the rest of the world.

Dan-Bunkering, one of the world’s largest independent marine fuel trading companies, has already been present in East Asia for some years with an office Shanghai, China.

"With the establishment of the new office in Singapore, the company acknowledges the growing importance of the Asian shipping market – the aim is to expand market shares and provide excellent service to existing and new clients in the area as well as globally," the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the news, Kenni Goldenbeck, Managing Director, said “Even with the current financial situation, we still see growth potential for both us as well as the region and we want to expand our already well-established position in the area – although competition in the world’s biggest bunker port is fierce, we can still gain even greater market shares with the company’s sound and healthy economical background.”

The new office is centrally located in Suntec City, overlooking the eastern anchorage of Singapore Port and incoming vessels. Being a well-known business and shopping area as well, the new office is conveniently placed close to major players in the shipping market.

The office, headed by Goldenbeck, already includes five other employees said to have extensive experience in the marine fuels business: Daphnie Lim, Adele Lee, Michael M. Hedager and Chong-Han Tan together with Eunice Liu as Financial Manager.

The company added that it was looking to expand its current set up in the near future with the addition of more traders.
