Bunge, the US-headquartered agribusiness group listed on the New York Stock Exchange, is recruiting a bunker purchaser to be based at its office in Rotterdam Blaak, according to a job listing posted on LinkedIn.
The role is aimed at candidates with at least one to two years of experience in marine fuel procurement. The position involves the daily purchasing of marine fuels for seagoing vessels, as well as maintaining contact with international suppliers and clients, monitoring market prices and trends, and handling the operational and administrative flow of bunker orders.
According to the listing, Bunge is seeking a candidate with a commercial mindset, strong communication skills, and an interest in shipping, trading or commodities. A good command of English is listed as a requirement, with Dutch described as an advantage.
Bunge states that the role offers on-the-job training and direct exposure to international markets, along with a competitive salary and benefits package. The position is based in central Rotterdam, a city that serves as one of Europe's principal bunkering hubs.
Founded more than 200 years ago and headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, Bunge is a global agribusiness and food company that buys, stores, transports, and processes crops into food, feed, and fuel products worldwide.
