Verde Marine Energy (VME) has appointed Steve Taylor as UK director, strengthening the company’s bunkering activities in the United Kingdom.

The announcement was made on 25 February, with Taylor to be based at the Pristine ABP Port Office on the River Humber. From this location, he will work alongside VertomCory teams across the UK, as well as Mariflex and other businesses within the Vertom Group.

VME said Taylor’s main responsibility will be to expand its UK bunkering operations, supported by the Vertom Group's wider resources and operational capabilities. His appointment is also intended to reinforce coordination between Verde Marine Energy B.V.’s established physical supply operations and international network and its UK business.

According to the company, Taylor will draw on existing trading relationships, operational expertise and supply synergies to accelerate growth in the UK market.

Joe Tierney, director of Verde Marine Energy B.V. in Rotterdam, remarked: “I am very pleased to welcome Steve on board as Director of our UK bunker business. He is joining us at an excellent moment for the company, and I am very much looking forward to working alongside him, sharing knowledge, and using the synergies across our businesses to further strengthen Verde Marine Energy’s presence in the UK.”

VME said the move underscores its commitment to developing its physical bunkering platform and delivering marine energy solutions across the UK.
