Maritime services company VPS has appointed Neil Chapman as managing director for the Americas, the company announced on 2 February.

Chapman will be responsible for improving operational efficiency and profitability for shipping customers through the delivery of VPS services across the Americas region. He brings 40 years of experience in testing and inspection, having worked for several testing, inspection and certification companies during his career.

In his new role, Chapman will lead the Americas region with a focus on working with customers across the marine and energy supply chain. He will drive local initiatives aimed at strengthening VPS’ partnerships with new and existing clients, according to the company. Chapman will also serve on the VPS Group Leadership Team, acting as a focal point for clients across the Americas.
