Thoen Bio Energy SA has joined the Global Ethanol Association as a new member, adding shipping and logistics experience to the association’s growing network.

The company is part of Belleza Capital Group SA, which has more than three decades of activity across sectors, including bulk shipping, tankers, car carriers and offshore operations, under the leadership of Aage Thoen.

Belleza Capital Group operates internationally, with offices in Tokyo, Oslo and Malaga, and currently owns and manages car carriers on long-term charter arrangements.

The Global Ethanol Association said it is preparing to launch a project group focused on Brazilian ethanol exports and views Thoen Bio Energy’s shipping background and connections with Brazilian ethanol producers as a strong fit for the initiative.

The association said it looks forward to working with Thoen Bio Energy SA to advance sustainable fuels and the global ethanol value chain.
