MOL adjusts BAF from East Asia to Australia


New surcharge on trades from China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan becomes effective from 1st March.



Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd (MOL) reports that it will be adjusting its bunker adjustment factor (BAF) on trades from East Asia to Australia from next month.

The Japanese shipper said that, between 1st and 31st March, the surcharge for cargo shipments from China, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan to Australia will be US$215 per twenty-foot container.

The surcharge per fourty-foot container will be $430.
