ANL revises bunker adjustment factor

BAF applies to freight from Australia and New Zealand to Europe, Scandinavia and the Mediterranean.

Melbourne-headquartered shipping company ANL has revised its bunker adjustment factor (BAF) on freight for Australia and New Zealand to and from Scandinavia, Europe and the Mediterranean.

The new surcharge will be adjusted to US$291 per twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) effective September 1, 2016.

The additional reefer consumption surcharge (RCS) will be US$44 per TEU.

Last week, ANL also revised its bunker surcharge on freight from Australia and New Zealand to the east coast of North America (ECNA). The new surcharge will be adjusted to US$601 per TEU effective September 1, 2016.

The revised BAF will apply to all reefer and dry cargo received on or after this date.

The RCS remains at 15 percent of the BAF.
