Chilean bunker vessel back in service


The Agunsa Capella had been in dry dock since the end of September.



Chilean bunker supplier Agencias Universales S.A. (Agunsa) has confirmed that its vessel, the Agunsa Capella, is now back in operation after having been in dry dock since around 25th September.

The oil products tanker underwent a class renewal inspection, which is carried out every five years.

The vessel had been expected to return back to service by around 20th October, but in fact has already been on duty since 12th October.

Built in 2008, the Chile-flagged, 2147-deadweight-tonne (dwt) tanker has a gross tonnage of 1543. Its home port is listed as Valparaiso.

The Agunsa Capella carries out deliveries of 380 centistoke (cSt), RMG-specification intermediate fuel oil (IFO 380); RME-specification IFO 180; and low-sulphur marine gas oil (MGO LS) in Quintero Bay, Valparaiso, San Antonio, Lirquen, Talcahuano, San Vicente and Coronel.

The company is also able to arrange truck deliveries in Arica, Puerto Angamos, Antofagasta, Talcahuano, San Vicente, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas.

According to ship-tracking data, the Agunsa Capella is curently located near Valparaiso; it recently left the port of San Antonio on 18th October.
