New bunker supply operation in Israel


Physical operation in Haifa is due to commence on December 10.



Island Petroleum Ltd, a subsidiary of Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd, has announced the launch of a new physical supply operation in Israel.

In an emailed statement, the company confirmed that it will be supplying marine fuel at the port of Haifa and outer roads. The operation is due to commence on December 10, 2015.

Island Petroleum is to carry out deliveries with the 1316-deadweight-tonne oil tanker MT Lerrix. The double-hulled vessel was built in 2012 and is said to be fully equipped with boiler, heating coils, blender, flow meters, bow-thruster and fenders.

The vessel has the capacity to carry up to 850 metric tonnes of intermediate fuel oil and 255 metric tonnes of marine gas oil (MGO).
