Rotterdam Market Report

Market report from Marine Bunkering (Rotterdam) B.V.

Crude:

World fuel indices gained today on stronger than expected U.S. economic data. U.S. government data showed the economy expanded at an annual pace of 3.9 percent in the second quarter, more than previously estimated.

Fuel indices were also supported by lower U.S. rig count. Baker Hughes data shows U.S. rig count dropped by 4 - the smallest decline in four weeks. A lower rig count is a kind of bullish signal for oil as it suggests lower production in the future.
