Bomin launches office in Far East Russia

New office opened in Nakhodka to meet demand along Russia's Far East coast.

Bomin Group, a global physical supplier and trader of marine fuel oil, has announced that it has established a new office in Nakhodka, a port city on the Sea of Japan, "to meet the growing demand for quality marine fuels and services across Far East Russia".

Through its office in Nakhodka, Bomin says it will provide customers with a "full range of bunker fuel oil and gasoil across all ports along Russia's Far East coast, sourced directly from local refineries and delivered by trusted suppliers".

The company says it will also act as the exclusive bunker agent for vessels wishing to call for bunkers only, including arranging berth, at one of the main terminals in Nakhodka on an exclusive basis, thereby avoiding long waits, minimizing downtime for customers and increasing efficiencies.

Bomin's Far East Russia desk is to be headed by Alexander Beliakov, an experienced bunker trader who joins the company from Nakhodka Portbunker Co. Ltd.

"Alexander Beliakov brings with him extensive experience of the local market and strong relationships with local suppliers, refineries and barging companies," the company said.

"Given the lower cost of fuels available at Russia's Far East ports, we have been seeing a steady upward trend in demand for the full range of marine fuel and gasoil in the region," commented Susanna Lai, Managing Director, Bomin Hong Kong. "Establishing an office in the region is in line with our strategy to provide our customers with quality products and delivering solutions that save them both time and money."

Thomas Johannsen, Managing Director Bomin Group, remarked: "We're determined to ensure that, as a company, we develop in line with the changing needs of our customers. We want to continue providing flexible, reliable and value-added solutions that help our customers to meet the challenges they face in their daily operations."
