UniMarine appoints regional sales manager for Asia


Alex Yim previously worked for Gulf Oil Marine and Hyundai Merchant Marine.



UniMarine Lubricants has announced that Alex Yim [pictured] has joined its office in Singapore as Regional Sales Manager Asia.

Yim has more than fourteen years' experience in shipping having previously worked for Hyundai Merchant Marine and Gulf Oil Marine. He is also fluent in English, Korean and Japanese.

At Gulf Oil Marine, Yim was Marine General Manager - Korea between May 2009 and December 2014. During the nine years he spent at Hyundai Merchant Marine, Yim worked as Chief of Agent, Operations Department (May 2000 to March 2003); Purchasing Manager (May 2003 to February 2009); and Finance Team, Foreign Exchange Part Leader (January 2009 – April 2009).

"Alex has a deep understanding of the maritime industry in Asia," UniMarine said in an emailed statement.
