Flex Commodities appoints Mehmet Ali Tartıcı as lead trader for Turkey


Tartıcı joins Dubai-based team to strengthen market presence and expand trading activities in the region.

Flex Commodities FZCO has appointed Mehmet Ali Tartıcı as Lead Trader – Turkey, joining the company’s Dubai trading team.

Tartıcı brings experience in marine fuels trading from roles in both Dubai and Turkey, together with a technical background as a naval architect and marine engineer.

His career has also spanned marine operations, giving him experience on both the commercial and operational sides of the sector.

Tartıcı previously served as marine fuels trader and senior marine fuels trader at Oilmar in Dubai, and as bunker trader and marine operations manager for Asmira Group in Istanbul.

In his new position, Tartıcı will be responsible for leading the company’s coverage in Turkey, with a focus on strengthening relationships, expanding market presence, and supporting further growth in regional trading activity.

The bunker firm said his expertise and knowledge of the market will add further support to its activities in the region.

Flex Commodities is a marine fuels trading and cargo logistics company headquartered in Dubai with staff also based in Greece and Singapore.
