The average monthly WTI crude price rose at a higher rate than the global bunker average during the month of June, according to Bunker Index (BIX) price data.

The WTI settlement average increased by $3.23 per barrel, or 3.17 percent, to $105.13 per barrel in June. During the same period, the BIX global bunker average was up by $4.76 per tonne, or 0.6 percent, to $793.81 per tonne.

Since June 2013, the WTI monthly average has risen by $9.33 per barrel, or 9.74 percent, from $95.80 to $105.13 per barrel, whilst the whilst BIX monthly global average has increased by $7.25 per tonne, or 0.92 percent, from $786.56 to $793.81 per tonne.
