The 380 centistoke (cSt) average at Europe's leading bunker port rose to its highest level since September 2013 during the month of June, according to Bunker Index price data.

The Rotterdam 380 cSt average increased by $11, or 1.9 percent, to $588 per tonne last month, up from $577 per tonne in May.

The $11 price increase is the highest since February and follows a four-month period where Rotterdam's 380 cSt average remained within a $2 price range of $577 to $579 per tonne.

In comparison with the corresponding month in 2013, the June 2014 average is $8 higher. It is $26 above the $562 per tonne price recorded in June 2012.
