The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore rose at a slightly higher rate than the ICE Gas Oil average during the month of December, according to Bunker Index price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average rose by $22.75 per tonne, or 2.48 percent, to $938.27 per tonne in December. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average increased by $24.00 per tonne, or 2.62 percent, to $939 per tonne.

Between December 2012 and December 2013, the monthly MGO average in Singapore increased by $21 per tonne, or 2.29 percent, from $918 to $939 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average rose by $11.67 per tonne, or 1.26 percent, from $926.60 to $938.27 per tonne.
