Gazpromneft acquires Baltic Marine Bunker

Purchase of Estonian firm is Gazpromneft Marine Bunker's second foreign bunker acquisition.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker, operator of Gazprom Neft's bunkering business, has completed the acquisition of Estonian bunkering company Baltic Marine Bunker AS from NT Marine AS.

It is the company's second foreign bunker acquisition following the purchase of Marine Bunker Balkan S.A. (Romania), a supplier in the Black Sea port of Constantza, from Unicom Holding, earlier this year.

Baltic Marine Bunker owns a 2,786-dwt bunkering vessel that is designed to handle both dark and light marine fuels. The company arranges deliveries in Tallinn, Riga and St. Petersburg.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker says it expects annual sales of marine fuels at the Port of Tallinn to be at least 270,000 tonnes.

Commenting on its market strategy, Gazpromneft Marine Bunker said: "The company plans the expansion of its footprint in the market through extended cooperation with ship owners and improved servicing of vessels."
