Supplier sells over 100,000 tonnes since launch

Bunker firm says it is 'never out of stock' with a storage capacity of around 70,000 tonnes.

Denmark-headquartered bunker trader and supplier Monjasa A/S has announced that it, in the space of just 'a few months', it has successfully delivered more than 100,000 metric tonnes of marine fuel to customers from its supply operation at Skagen Roads.

Monjasa is currently able to supply in Skaw, Gothenburg, Great Belt and Kalundborg. The company says it is carrying out deliveries with 'top modern tankers', fully equipped as per the latest OCIMF (Oil Companies International Marine Forum) standards, and approved for bunkering by the Danish Maritime Authorities.

"We will meet any request for any type of bunkers within ISO 8217 standards," Monjasa said, adding that with a total storage capacity of approximately 70,000 tonnes "we are never out of stock".

Skagen Storage

In January, Monjasa revealed that it had entered into an agreement with the Port of Skagen for the construction and operation of a tank terminal for marine fuels, which will be utilized for the supply of bunkers to vessels in and around the Danish port.

The deal means that the Port of Skagen will construct the terminal facility and Monjasa will lease and operate the tank terminal.

The tank installation is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
