GAC USA awarded Customs Broker License

License has been issued to the newly formed company, GAC Brokerage, LLC.

GAC, the global provider of integrated shipping, logistics and marine services, continues to strengthen its presence and services in the United States by obtaining a Customs Broker License with a National Permit 13-047.

This follows the group’s recent C-TPAT certification, granted only to companies that meet the strict criteria set by U.S. Customs & Border Protection and U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

In a statement, GAC said: "As a licensed customs broker, GAC will continue to provide its supply chain and oil & gas customers with a complete suite of services enhanced by greater efficiency, and quicker turnaround times."

GAC added that its customers will also be able to enjoy the benefits of GAC having complete internal control of the process from start to finish. In addition, the National designation allows GAC to clear its customer's cargo in all 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.

The Customs Broker's License has been issued to the newly formed company, GAC Brokerage, LLC, and will be managed by Luisa Holloway, VP of Brokerage & Import Manager.

Ms Holloway joined GAC a year ago and has over 20 years' experience in imports, customs regulations and dealing with various security clearance challenges. She said: "As a group we focus on long-term partnerships and being able to deliver specialized services to our customers. Obtaining this license was a necessity and exemplifies our commitment to provide added efficiency and security to the handling of our customers' freight."
