GAC Bunker Fuels expands with new office in Norway

Move is aimed at strengthening GAC's marine fuel and lubricant trading operation across the Nordic region.

GAC Bunker Fuels Ltd. has today announced the opening of its newest office - in Bergen, Norway - in a move aimed at strengthening its marine fuel and lubricant trading operation across the Nordic region.

The Bergen office will be responsible for the trading of all grades of marine fuel and gas oil, as well as the full range of lubricant products, for domestic and international customers operating across Nordic waters and beyond. It will also coordinate customers' ship agency requirements.

Nicholas Browne, Global Director, GAC Bunker Fuels, says: "The opening of our Bergen office is testament to our commitment to expanding our geographical reach, which now extends to nine locations worldwide, and our scope of services to meet the needs of our customers. We have a strong customer base and longstanding relationships with trusted suppliers across the region, enabling us to offer the highest quality products at competitive prices.

"In the highly competitive Norwegian market, the ability to provide a full package of services is a big advantage. GAC Bunker Fuels' integrated solution, combining bunker trading with other essential shipping and logistics services, enables customers to streamline how they meet the needs of their vessels in Nordic waters, saving them time and money."

GAC Bunker Fuels operates globally from nine locations, Houston, Connecticut, Aberdeen, London, Dubai, Cairo, Colombo, Singapore and now Bergen, providing coverage across all markets and time zones.

The company has been in operation for more than 30 years and recently became part of an elite group of global bunkering companies to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification in recognition of its best management practices in the trading and brokerage of marine fuels and lubricants.

The new operation in Bergen is headed by Bunker Fuels Agent Christer Benjaminsen [pictured], who can be contacted by email at christer.benjaminsen@gac.com. Also coordinating North Sea bunker operations is Kenny Petrie at GAC's office in Aberdeen, Scotland, who can be contacted by email at kenny.petrie@gac.com.
