OW Bunker appoints branch manager in India


New branch manager, Bilquis Khan, will be based in Mumbai.



OW Bunker, one of the world's largest suppliers and traders of marine fuel oil and lubricants, has today announced the appointment of Mrs Bilquis Khan as the new branch manager of its India office, based in Mumbai.

Mrs Khan has a wealth of experience having worked for a number of organisations in the bunkering industry since 1997. She is a BA graduate from Mumbai University.

Commenting on the appointment, Robert Preston, managing director, OW Bunker and Trading India Pvt Ltd, said: "I am delighted to welcome Bilquis Khan to the OW Bunker team. Her knowledge of the local market, as well as her wider industry experience will add significant value to our customers' operations. India is a market of real growth, and it is critical that we have an established operation to support our customers in realising these opportunities."

OW Bunker established its India operation in 2011. The company says it has supply chain agreements with leading suppliers in all major Indian ports, providing ISO/BIS specification fuel products of all grades, including straight run products from local refineries.
