March the least volatile month since December


BIX data shows that price volatility fell for the first time since November during the month of March.



Bunker price volatility fell for the first time since November to its lowest level since December during the month of March, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-high differentials for the daily BIX global average, March proved to be the least volatile of the year so far with a low-high differential of $15.79 per tonne.

The lowest daily global bunker price last month was $809.89 per tonne recorded on March 21, whilst the highest price was $825.68 per tonne on March 1.
