Bunker prices set to surge in Uruguay

Significant increases to be seen at the end of the week with MGO rising the most, by $75 per tonne.

Bunker prices are set to surge in Montevideo at the end of the week following the release of new prices today.

The price of marine gasoil (MGO) is due to increase the most, by $75 per tonne, from $1095 per tonne to $1170 per tonne. Marine diesel oil (MDO) prices will rise by $45 per tonne to $1090 per tonne, up from the current rate of $1045 per tonne.

380-centistoke (cst) prices will skyrocket $55 per tonne from $640 to $695 per tonne. 180-cst levels are set to climb $50 to $745 per tonne.

The prices will only be effective from Sunday, 29 July, so bunker buyers will have the opportunity to fix at the current rates up until Saturday. The new prices will be valid until Saturday, 4 August.
