The average global bunker price declined at a slower rate than Brent crude in May 2012, according to Bunker Index price data.

The Brent settlement average fell by $10.20 per barrel, or 8.47 percent, in the month of May. However, during the same period, the BIX global bunker average decreased by $43.51 per tonne, or 4.9 percent, to $845.54 per tonne.
