New bunker supplier in Gabon

Supplier offering marine gasoil at two West African ports.

Italian bunker supplier Maxcom Bunker S.p.A has announced that, with immediate effect, it is able to supply marine gasoil (MGO) in Gabon.

In a message sent to customers Maxcom said that it would be supplying at the West African ports of Libreville and Port Gentil.

The company will be quoting prices in USD per cubic metre (cbm), as opposed to the more common USD per metric tonne, for deliveries by road tank wagon.

Speaking to Bunker Index, bunker trader Alberto Ferraris clarified that the capacity of each road tank wagon is 14, 21 and 28 cbm.

Ferraris added that there would be the possibility to supply by barge for enquiries of around at least 300 metric tonnes. The company would be looking to rent a barge in order to meet the needs of clients with larger quantity requirements.
