NWE MGO average ends the week $17 higher


MGO prices rise for the third consecutive day in North West Europe.



The Bunker Index NWE MGO (BIX NWE MGO) - Bunker Index's average marine gasoil (MGO) price in North West Europe - ended the week US$17 higher than on Monday following a day of price increases in ports across the region.

Marine gasoil (MGO) prices rose by $10-$20 per tonne in a number of ports including Antwerp, Bergen, Bremerhaven, Copenhagen, Falmouth, Great Belt, Hamburg, Kaliningrad, Klaipeda, Rotterdam, Riga and Tallin.

As a result, the BIX NWE MGO rose by $7.62 to $989.29 per tonne today, up $17.00 on Monday's price of $972.29 per tonne.

The Bunker Index NWE (BIX NWE) - Bunker Index's average bunker price for all fuel grades in North West Europe - increased by $7.56 today. IFO 380 LS and IFO 180 LS prices rose by $13-$23 per tonne in Antwerp, Copenhagen, Great Belt, Kaliningrad and Rotterdam, whilst IFO 380 HS and IFO 180 HS prices rose by $9-$14 per tonne in Antwerp, Copenhagen, Great Belt, Kaliningrad, Klaipeda, Riga, Rotterdam and Tallinn.

The Bunker Index NWE 380 CST (BIX NWE 380 CST) - the average price for 380-centistoke in North West Europe - jumped $5.89 to $596.58 per tonne today, whilst the BIX NWE 180 CST climbed $6.09 to $619.17 per tonne.
