Oil firm sells 40,000-tonne fuel oil cargoes

Fuel oil lots are scheduled for loading in February.

PetroChina Company Ltd., the listed arm of state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), is reported to have sold two 40,000-tonne cargoes of fuel oil in the spot market.

The oil firm sold one parcel for loading on February 8-12 at a premium of $5.75 per tonne to Singapore spot quotes and another for lifting on February 13-17 at a premium of $5.50 per tonne to Singapore fuel oil assessments, industry sources said.

The PetroChina cargoes are said to have been sold to oil major BP Plc.
