Bunker cargo heads for Sri Lanka

Fuel oil parcel expected to arrive in Colombo next week.

Lanka IOC - the Sri Lanka unit of Indian Oil Corporation - has today confirmed that it is awaiting the arrival of a cargo of fuel oil.

Speaking to Bunker Index today the bunker supplier said that it was expecting a parcel of both 380-centistoke (cst) and 180-cst, totalling 7,000 tonnes. The product breakdown is 5,000 tonnes of 380-cst and 2,000 tonnes of 180-cst.

Lanka IOC is currently unable to supply 380-cst and 180-cst to clients after running out of stocks for both grades a few days ago. It will therefore continue to sell only marine gas oil (MGO) until the cargo of intermediate fuel oil arrives.

The replenishment cargo is expected to arrive at the port of Colombo between 6-8 January.
