New offshore barge service in Ceuta

Limassol firm launches new barge supply service at key Spanish bunker port.

Malta's M.Y Bunkers has announced that it is now able to offer an exclusive offshore barge supply service at the Spanish port of Ceuta.

The Limassol-based firm says it commenced its new barge service in Ceuta on January 18th, and is now able to supply within the port's anchorage area in addition to its existing ex-pipe operation.

M.Y. Bunkers said the Mt Sea Dweller is supplying HSFO RME 180, HSFO RMG 380, LSFO RME 180, LSFO RMG 380 and MGO DMA 0.1%, according to ISO 8217:2005 specifications.

The minimum guaranteed pumping rate is 200 cubic metres per hour (m3/hour) with an expected pumping rate of 300-350 m3/hour. The minimum length overall (LOA) of receiving vessels 130 meters.

Commenting on the launch, M.Y Bunkers said "The new service represents a great alternative to vessels currently restricted to taking bunkers at Gibraltar and of course enables larger vessels that before were unable to take bunkers at the berth in Ceuta to take outside the port."
