Gasum says it has pooled 642 vessels under FuelEU Maritime for the 2025 compliance period.

The arrangement covers 550 shipowners and 190 document of compliance holders.

Gasum said that the vessels had been reverified following the European Maritime Safety Agency's revision of its ice-class calculation methodology. It also noted that all pools remain compliant with the updated calculation requirements.

This process was designed to help clients reduce financial and regulatory risks associated with FuelEU Maritime compliance, according to Gasum.

The Finnish state-owned energy firm highlighted that the scale of the 2025 exercise positions it among the largest commercial FuelEU pooling managers globally.

As previously covered, Gasum extended its FuelEU Maritime pooling partnerships with Viking Line and Wallenius SOL for 2026.

Gasum is a Nordic energy company that supplies LNG, bio-LNG and other gas-based energy products to maritime, industrial, road transport and energy-sector customers.
