Island Oil appoints credit manager

Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd has announced the appointment of Kieran Michael Brown as credit manager at its head office in Limassol, Cyprus.

Brown joins Island Oil with several years' experience in credit management, having previously served as credit manager at Bomin in Hamburg, Germany, and Global Credit Director at Bunkers International in the Netherlands. Prior to this, he worked as senior analyst for Lloyd's List Intelligence.

Brown is a graduate of Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, US, and holds certifications in Petroleum Trading and Credit, Competitive intelligence, Qualitative Research and Predictive Markets.

Island Oil describes Brown's areas of expertise as being counterparty risk, credit management & due diligence, strategic and competitive intelligence, shipping and commodities, and compliance and insurance.
