Calpam launches bunker operation covering all French ports

Supplier offering truck delivery of low-sulphur marine gas oil.

Deutsche Calpam GmbH has announced that it has launched a physical bunker supply operation covering all French ports by truck.

The Hamburg-headquartered firm, which is owned by French transportation business Bollore Group, has begun carrying out deliveries of low-sulphur marine gas oil (MGO) using the group's storage terminal and oil logistics network in France. The first deliveries were performed in March.

Speaking to Bunker Index, Stefan Facklam, managing director of Deutsche Calpam, said that product for the marine fuels market is currently being stored at four main facilities in France.

He explained that Bollore Group had already carried out some bunker deliveries for clients in France in the past, so the decision to expand Deutsche Calpam's coverage to meet the needs of these and other potential customers was the next logical step.

Enquiries can be made either to Calpam's office in Hamburg, or to Martin Alzerreca, who is based at Bollore's headquarters in Puteaux, France, and will be the main person responsible for Calpam's bunker sales in France.
