BIX MGO price summary: week 48


A summary of weekly global marine gas oil (MGO) prices.



The Bunker Index MGO (BIX MGO) - the worldwide daily marine gas oil (MGO) average quoted in US$ per metric tonne - recorded its biggest week-on-week decrease in six weeks on November 27, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global MGO price fell by $8.45 per tonne, or 1.4 percent, to $591.81 per tonne on Friday compared with $600.26 per tonne on November 20. It is the lowest end-of-week price of the year so far, and the only one below $600 per tonne.

It is also the third week-on-week decrease in a row and the sixth in the last seven weeks.

During the same 7-day period - between November 20 and November 27 - the Intercontinental Exchange's (ICE) Gas Oil settlement price declined by $6.50, or 1.5 percent, from to $424.75 to $418.25 per tonne.
