The Bunker Index 380 CST (BIX 380) - the worldwide daily 380 centistoke (cSt) average quoted in US$ per metric tonne - recorded its second-biggest decline of the year so far between July 3 and July 10, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global 380 cSt bunker price fell by $19.41 per tonne, or 5.1 percent, to $361.53 per tonne on July 10 compared to $380.94 per tonne on July 3. It is the most significant decrease since the $27.83 decline recorded during the second week of 2015.

Friday's price is the lowest end-of-week figure in 13 weeks - since April 10. It is also the seventh end-of-week decrease in the last eight weeks, which in turn follows six consecutive weekly increases between April 10 and May 15.
