Bunker Index (BIX) price summary: week 27


Lowest end-of-week figure since April 17 as global bunker prices fall by $4.68 per tonne between June 26 and July 3.



The Bunker Index (BIX) - the daily average global bunker price quoted in US$ per metric tonne - fell by $4.68 per tonne, or 0.9 percent, during the 7-day period between June 26 and July 3, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global price was $523.12 per tonne on July 3 compared to $527.80 per tonne on June 26. It is the third end-of-week decline in a row and the sixth in the last seven weeks.

Friday's price is also the lowest end-of-week figure in 11 weeks - since April 17.
