Bunker Index (BIX) price summary: week 23


Global bunker prices fell by 0.5 percent during the 7-day period between May 29 and June 5.



The Bunker Index (BIX) - the daily average global bunker price quoted in US$ per metric tonne - fell by $2.61 per tonne, or 0.5 percent, to its lowest price since April 24 during the 7-day period between May 29 and June 5, according to Bunker Index price data.

The global price was $534.30 per tonne on June 5 compared to $536.91 per tonne on May 29. It is the third consecutive end-of-week decrease, which follows five consecutive weekly price rises.
