Singapore MGO vs ICE Gas Oil


Analysis of Singapore marine gas oil (MGO) and ICE Gas Oil prices in April.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) at the port of Singapore rose at a less significant rate than ICE Gas Oil during the month of April, according to Bunker Index and Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) price data.

The ICE Gas Oil settlement average increased by $16.68 per tonne, or 3.07 percent, to $560.68 per tonne in April. During the same period, the Singapore MGO average was up by $4 per tonne, or 0.7 percent, to $548 per tonne.

Between April 2014 and April 2015, the monthly MGO average in Singapore declined by $358 per tonne, or 39.5 percent, from $906 to $548 per tonne, whilst the ICE Gas Oil settlement average decreased by $346.86 per tonne, or 38.2 percent, from $907.54 to $560.68 per tonne.
