Glander International Bunkering hires trader in Geneva


Benedict Barlow is appointed bunker and lubricant trader at the company's office in Switzerland.



Glander International Bunkering has appointed Benedict Barlow [pictured] as bunker and lubricant trader at its Geneva office.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Barlow was previously employed as a bilingual consultant for recruitment agency Euro London Appointments between November and December 2014. Prior to this, he worked as a bar manager between May 2012 and October 2014, and was a trainee broker at Derrick Offshore Ltd between August 2013 and May 2014. He also worked as an estate agent between January and August 2013.

In a statement, Glander International Bunkering said: "Benedict Barlow began his career in offshore ship brokering and then specialized in the field of bunkering. Benedict has substantial awareness of the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean ports. Originally from the UK, Benedict was brought up in Switzerland and can speak French, German and English. Benedict is known in the industry for his diligence and diverse shipping knowledge."
