Ex-OW manager named team leader at Glander International Bunkering Mumbai


Sumit Dhawan was previously employed as branch manager at OW Bunker's Mumbai office.



Glander International Bunkering has confirmed that it has hired Sumit K. Dhawan [pictured] as Senior Bunker/Lubricant Trader and Team Leader at its Mumbai office.

Prior to joining Glander International Bunkering, Dhawan was branch manager at O.W. Bunker and Trading (India) in Mumbai between July 2011 and November 2014.

Before that, he worked as Manager - Trading & Marketing at construction company IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd, Mumbai, between November 2008 and June 2011. He was also Management Trainee - Petroleum Products Trading at Vinergy International Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, between November 2007 and October 2008.

Dhawan has a master's degree in oil trading from the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in Dehradun, India.

Commenting on the appointment in a statement, Glander International Bunkering said: "Sumit K Dhawan comes to Glander International Bunkering with more than 7 years of experience in the bunker and cargo trading industry. Mr. Dhawan holds an MBA degree in Oil Trading and a Bachelor of Commerce and can speak English, Hindi and Punjabi. Sumit has considerable experience for bunker supplies in India/sub-continent, Singapore, Fujairah and ARA region."
