Glander International Bunkering hires Vietnamese trader


Jacky Nguyen was previously a bunker trader at OW Bunker in Singapore.



Glander International Bunkering has announced the addition of another former OW Bunker employee - Jacky Nguyen - to its trading team. He will be based at the company's office in Singapore.

Prior to joining Glander International Bunkering, Nguyen was a bunker trader at O.W. Bunker & Trading A/S in Singapore between June 2011 and November 2014. Before that, he worked in the department of marine sevices at shipping agency and logistics services company, Vosa Saigon, in Vietnam between November 2001 and June 2011.

Nguyen studied at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities and also took the Vietnam Freight Fowarders Association's (VIFFAS) professional freight forwarding/logistics course.

In an emailed statemed, Glander International Bunkering said: "Jacky Nguyen is from Vietnam and has been in the bunkering industry for 13 years. Mr. Nguyen speaks English and Vietnamese and has great experience supplying in all Vietnamese ports and Southeast Asia. Jacky's ability to speak Vietnamese and having familiarity of his homeland ports gives him an advantage when servicing those areas."
