Glander International Bunkering hires experienced trader


Shahid Malik has previously worked for OW Bunker, Steadfast Bunkering Services and Faisal Marine Oil Services.



Glander International Bunkering has announced that it has recruited experienced bunker professional Shahid Malik [pictured] as bunker and lubricant trader at its office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Prior to joining Glander International Bunkering, Malik was bunker trader at OW Bunker Middle East, Dubai, between July 2013 and November 2014. Before that, he worked as marketing and trading manager for Steadfast Bunkering Services in Karachi, Pakistan, between August 2008 and August 2011. Malik was also employed as senior bunker trader at Faisal Marine Oil Services, Karachi, between June 2006 and January 2007.

Malik also has several years' experience working in the state of Illinois, United States. Between 1992 and 2004, he worked for Valvoline Lubricants, Mir Petroleum, CITGO (MAK Petroleum), Mobil and Shell.

Commenting on the appointment, Glander International Bunkering said: "Shahid Malik has been involved in the bunkering industry for 8 years, gaining many years experience in the USA, Karachi, Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. Mr. Malik is from Karachi and can speak Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, conversational Arabic and English. Having the unique combination of speaking various languages and having great supply experience in various regions gives him a leading edge when supplying in these areas."
