Bunker Index reveals the average marine gas oil (MGO) price in 2014.



The average price of marine gas oil (MGO) in 2014 was $1000.81 per tonne, according to Bunker Index price data.

In order to calculate the average price, Bunker Index used all the daily MGO assessment port prices published on the site in 2014.

The MGO average was $55.41, or 5.2 percent, lower than the $1056.22 per tonne figure recorded in 2013. The lowest MGO price during 2014 was $500 per tonne, whilst the highest was $1510 per tonne.
