Rosmorport seals marine lubricants contract


Two-year deal covers the delivery of marine lubricants to the world's largest icebreaker fleet, operated by Rosmorport.



Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd - Gazprom Neft's motor oil business operator - has concluded a two-year agreement for the delivery of marine lubricants to the icebreaking fleet of Russian state enterprise Rosmorport - said to operate the largest icebreaker fleet in the world.

Under the terms of the agreement the company is due to supply the North-West Basin, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Azov Basin, Azovo-Chernomorsky Basin, Astrakhan, Sochi, Petropavlovsk, Vladivostok, Far Eastern Basin, Vostok, Sakhalin and Vanino affiliates of Rosmorport.

Rosmorport will be supplied with a variety of marine oils, ranging from motor oils to industrial oils, and including lubricants under the G-Energy and Gazpromneft brands.

Alexander Trukhan, General Director, Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd, commented: "The long-term strategy of the company envisages Gazpromneft-Lubricants Ltd holding an 18 percent share of the Russian lubricants market by 2025. To that end we are already engaging with the most significant enterprises in this sector and developing new specialist market niches while, at the same time, extending our geographic reach in terms of product sales."
