BIX bunker price volatility analysis - September 2013


BIX data shows that price volatility fell to its third lowest level of the year in September.



Bunker price volatility fell to its third lowest level of the year during the month of September, according to Bunker Index price data.

In a comparison of low-high differentials for the daily BIX global average, September recorded a low-high differential of $14.96 per tonne, down from 23.09 in August.

The lowest daily global bunker price last month was $793.20 per tonne recorded on September 24, whilst the highest price was $808.16 per tonne on September 9.
