Fujairah: First monthly 380-cst rise in six months

The average price of 380-centistoke (cst) fuel oil in Fujairah increased by $8 per tonne, or 1.35 percent, during the month of August, according to Bunker Index price data.

The 380-cst average at the Middle East's leading bunker port rose to $599 per tonne last month, up from $591 per tonne in July, during a month that saw Fujairah's best-selling fuel grade record a $33 low-high price range of $588 to $621 per tonne.

Fujairah's latest 380-cst monthly average is only the second since June 2012 to be below $600 per tonne. The August increase is the first in six months and only the third since September 2012.
