Bomin to open Bremen office

New sales operation will be headed by experienced bunker professional Sabine Ley.

Bomin Group has announced that, effective January 1 2013, the new sales office, Bomin Weser GmbH & Co. KG, will commence its sales activities in Bremen.

Bomin said the focus of Bomin Weser will be on all bunker locations in the Weser/Ems area. The company supplies all fuel grades - high and low sulphur - as well as marine gasoil (MGO).

Bomin Weser sources product from the Bomin tank farm in Bremerhaven and the new double hull barge Casablanca (1,600 dwt), also based in the port of Bremerhaven.

Sabine Ley has been named managing director of the new Bremen office and will be working closely with Bomin's headquarters in Hamburg.

Prior joining Bomin Group, Ley worked for more than 30 years in the bunker industry. "Her broad managerial and marine experience will be a great contribution to Bomin's future growth," Bomin said in a statement.

"This expansion to the German West Coast represents a further logical step in the Bomin Group's core strategy of extending bunker delivery services to its international customer base throughout the globe," Bomin added.
