Full bunker operations resume in Buenaventura

Bunkers International offers IFO and MGO on the Pacific Coast following supply disruption.

Leading Colombian supplier Bunkers International Corp, has announced that it has resumed full bunker operations for intermediate fuel oil (IFO) and marine gas oil (MGO) in the port of Buenaventura, following a supply disruption that curtailed supply during the past few months.

The company said it is now able to offer high-quality straight-run IFO fuel at Colombia's leading Pacific Ocean port, helping to meet demand from customers with operations on the west coast of South America.

Commenting on the news, John Canal, President of Bunkers International said “We are very pleased to have resumed full operations. We now have a complete complement of IFO and MGO fuels available in Buenaventura, at competitive prices. And we are continuing to provide the service and support customers have come to expect from Bunkers International”.

In a statement the company said the IFO fuels it provides are low in both vanadium and metal content. Low sulphur 1% fuel is also available for customers needing to meet stricter environmental requirements.

Customers with enquiries for Buenaventura can contact the company’s headquarters in Orlando Florida on +1 407 328 7757 or any of the global sales offices. Contact details for the company can be found in the Bunker Index directory and on the Bunkers International website at www.bunkersinternational.com.

Bunkers International has been expanding operations globally since 2000, creating new operations in Colombia, New York, the UK, Singapore, Turkey, Malta, and South Africa.

"The company has significantly increased its trading division, helping drive a six-fold increase in revenue in the past four years. With strong capitalization, a global customer base of thousands of ship operators, and supply operations on both coasts of Colombia, Bunkers International is well positioned to serve the South American market," the company said in a statement.
